Work From Home with EF Education First

This is a sponsored post.  All opinions are my own.

We all know how important a side hustle can be.  Side hustles can help you to pay off debt, save extra cash, contribute to your sinking funds or emergency fund, and meet your financial goals.

A good side hustle is an excellent way for a stay at home mom to contribute to the household finances, or a working professional to earn extra money during their spare time, all while working from home.

One of the most popular (for good reason) side hustles is to teach English online to kids in China.  This is an opportunity that allows you to work from home, connect with children, and make a difference in the world…all while getting paid!!  (does it even get any better?!?!?!)

I have actually been considering this as a side hustle for myself.  There are many great companies to work with, but the one I want to tell you about today is EF Education First.

EF Education First is the largest foreign company in the world.  They offer competitive pay and excellent 24/7 teacher support.   They have a USA headquarters making communication and payments a breeze!

Who is this job for?

This side hustle just might be for you if you….

  • Enjoy teaching
  • Want to be able to pick your own hours
  • Are looking for a way to work from home
  • Have a bachelors degree (in any field!)
  • Have access to a headset, personal computer, and wired Ethernet connection

How much is the pay?

This really is the most important question when it comes to a good side hustle!  Fortunately EF Education First offers great pay.  Most new teachers make anywhere between $14/hour up to $17/hour.  This is great side hustle wages!

What exactly does an online ESL teacher do?

As a teacher with EF Education First you will be responsible for….

  • Teach 25-minute one-on-one online classes to kids between the ages 6 to 10
  •  Give feedback to both your students and their parents
  • Use pre-prepared lesson materials, while adding your own voice and creativity

When will I need to be available to teach?

You will need to be available to teach during the “peak teaching hours”.  These hours are weekday mornings 4:00am EST to 8:30am EST.  And weekend nights/mornings; Friday night 8:00pm EST to Saturday morning
8:00am EST and Saturday night 8:00pm EST to Sunday morning 8:00am EST.

Working for EF Education First gives you the ability to choose which hours during these peak times you are available.  If you only want to work weekends or can only teach Monday mornings, mark that in the easy to use scheduling system.  The choice is yours!
